As those who watched the video know, you're told to leave a small gap when aligning along the front edge of the laptop. This is to stop them from peeling up over time. The less obvious reason is that our skins are designed to leave a small gap all the way around. If you were following the video to the letter, you would have had to deliberately leave a gap at the front to get the result in your photos.
